Book Salon was part of the Salon International exhibition that was being held at the ExCeL London on October 8-10. On site there were 400 exhibitors, and over the three days more than 38 000 people attended.

Nina, who is a part of the Book Salon team, was on site for the Salon International fair. She expresses that she loves to meet professionals from the field and to feel the atmosphere and learn new things about the industry. As a former hairdresser, with a degree in beauty care and cosmetics, she knows the struggles and what the entrepreneur would want from a booking system. She says that the customers and visitors of the expo were surprised by how easy it is to use the Book Salon software and that everything is integrated so smoothly: from bookings, to payments, to sales reports.

”We gave a lot of demos at our booth and people seemed to really appreciate the simplicity of the software. They felt that the booking system is so integrated with the payment services, it makes everything simple”, Nina said.

”As the Book Salon team consists of several people who have actually worked in the industry, it makes us more in tune and understanding of what the customers really need and want from a software. We listen to the professionals to develop the features that they would want”.

Another popular thing about the Book Salon booth was our competition, where you could win a very popular styling tool that has been sold out in a lot of places! It caused a lot of buzz, as it was one of the best prizes at the expo.

VISITORS AND EXHIBITORS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD

Nina remembers attending the fair previously as a hairdresser, though this was the first time as an exhibitor. She says of Salon International that it is a staple in the world of expos and that people from all over come to attend, both as guests and as exhibitors. It has a really international feeling. There were even some more people attending from her home country of Finland. 

She goes on to say that she ”would really like to thank the person who was planning and coordinating for us at the expo”, and that ”London and UK is really the place where you go to learn about new fashion and trends within the hair industry, and this expo definitely gives you new inspiration”.
